Our baby was delivered 4 weeks early and we hadn’t chosen a pediatrician yet. The hospital had us chose one before we were discharged, so we were a little flustered and nervous! Dr. Cavins was recommended to us by a family friend...and for great reason!!! Our first visit with Dr. Cavins was the morning after we took our daughter home from the hospital. Not only did he make a call to the lactation consultant during our visit, (I had questions he thought would be better answered by her)...but Dr. Cavins personally called me (after we left) before we even made it home to say he wanted to admitted her after her bilirubin result came back above the acceptable range. He instructed us how to bring her into the hospital and step by step instructions how to proceed. Once we were checked in, he came upstairs to our room to check in and make sure all was going well and that we didn’t have any further questions. I am a very pleased first time mommy!!!
